T-Mobile Unveils Huawei’s myTouch and myTouch Q

T-Mobile has added two new entrants to the league of its myTouch family of smartphones. They are myTouch and myTouch Q. Confused? No they are not from LG, but they are from Huawei’s stable.

The devices are still Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but offer 4G support. They bring along a 4.0 WVGA touch screen and a 1.4 GHz processor.

To make the devices perfect in specs, Huawei has added a 5 mega pixel cam on the rear with an LED flash and has slapped in a reasonable front camera.

However, the keyboard options differ on both devices. While Swype’s virtual keyboard coupled with T-Mobile’s unique Genius button are offered with myTouch, you get an additional full QWERTY keyboard that can be slid out from behind the display in landscape orientation in myTouch Q.

The Genius button on these devices play some ‘Siri’ roles with its ability to accept voice commands to start a search, launch an app and book a table for you at your favorite eat out.

A refreshed app tray on both the phones will help you keep track of the recent downloadable apps.

The devices come at a reasonable $49.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate if you are ready to sign up a two year agreement. You can expect them in summer and they will be available in candybar and QWERTY flavors. However, myTouch will be available in dark red while there will be a white variant for his bro.
