Whenever they need a refreshing change, Android fans look up to Google to know when will it roll out a new version of the Android platform.

Once a new OS version is announced, the fans start the long wait for the updates to roll out to the networks.

It seems the wait will be over soon. Google has announced that the folks with a Google Nexus device will be the luckiest to get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update first, apart from those who have decided to buy the Nexus 7 tablet.

It will be the Sprint and Verizon versions of the Galaxy Nexus that will get the Android 4.1 treat first. According to the announcement, the roll out will start on July 10 and the first device to get it would be the Samsung Galaxy Nexus HSPA+.

Google has mentioned that devices like Nexus S and Motorola Xoom tablet will get the update in the near future and all Galaxy Nexus devices will get it soon.

The new update will offer a better predictive keyboard, power of Google Now, better voice search and a faster UI, among other features.
