Is this world full of rumors or has Sony begun rejuvenating its product series?

The answer to that remains yet unclear as the name of a mystery device having the name tag Xperia SL has popped up on an Indonesian Postel site.

The device carried the name tag of Xperia SL LT26ii and no one knows what the letters stands for. The Xperia SL has a model number of LT26ii, while the original Xperia S is the LT26i.

Everything about the name suggests that this phone is a successor to the Xperia S, though we don’t know anything specific about the new smartphone.

Recently, the Xperia S model was launched and AT&T is determined to go ahead with that model. It featured Android Gingerbread though there is an ICS upgrade now available for the phone.

Featuring a 4.3-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, this phone came powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with a MSM8260 chipset and 1GB of RAM.

Having a 12 megapixel camera with Sony Exmor R sensor and 1080p video recording capabilities, there is also a 1.3 megapixel front camera for those video calling junkies too.

Storage is also in par with the specs and accounts to about 32GB of internal memory in figures.

Weighing only 144g, this smartphone also includes all most modern communication features and an HDMI port.

We just have to wait for a confirmation now.
