Happy birthday, Winamp! It has been truly a nice journey for Winamp for the past 15 years and it looks like the manufacturer is celebrating the anniversary with the launch of some new stuff.
The new additions include an In-app store support and the Album Washer that allows users to clean-up and organize their music with the press of a button.
The company has also made available a limited-time offer such that the customers can get their hands on these add-ons for just $0.99 for a limited period of time.
Pro Bundle is yet another addition to the app store. It is a bundle of exclusive features that includes customizable home screens, ability to browse by folders, cross-fading between tracks and a ten band graphic equalizer.
Winamp was rumored to be coming to Mac as far back as 2001, but the software was never released. In October 2011, Winamp Sync for Mac was introduced as a Beta release.
It was the first Winamp version for the Apple Macintosh platform and runs under Mac OS X 10.6 and above. Now, Winamp for Mac is the OSX version of the popular Winamp media player available on Windows and Android.
Winamp Software Development Kit has also aided developers in making great software all these years. Winamp has become very popular for its user friendly cum minimalistic interface.
The music player has many more advanced features that are yet to come and developers are promising us that this will revolutionize the music playback software industry in the coming months.
