Folk who hate typing down on the touch screen keyboards of the new gen smartphones can have some party time on T-Mobile soon, as a new leak hints that the carrier may deliver a Samsung device with full QWERTY keyboard which can be slid out.
As per the leak, the device is code named SGH-T699 and features a spacious 5 row keyboard which can be slide out from beneath the display.
The mid-level slider phone packs a 5 mega pixel cam on its back and a front facing camera too. To keep up to date with the present world, the rig runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
However, it is not the first time that the rig cam into leaks. Earlier when it was spotted in a User Agent Profile, it was thought to be the T-Mobile branded Galaxy Nexus device or even Galaxy S III.
At that time it was rumored to pack a 720p HD display too. As per the earlier leak, the phone had an ARM11 processor chip.
Since the two leaks have conflicting details and specs of the phone, we will have to wait and see if T-Mobile will utter any world about the rig, confirming its identity and features.
Though either the phone maker or the carrier is yet to tell anything about the device and its performances, T-Mobile sources confirm that the slider phone in the picture runs smoother on the network.
Now, let us know if anybody out there actually loves QWERTY keyboard smartphones in the time of touchpad devices.
