Galaxy SIII Love Goes Wild; Future Shop and Best Buy End Pre-Orders

June 12, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

When Samsung released the latest Galaxy SIII, the company was sure about the massive sales the device was going to amass. You too had a hint of it all, right?

The turn of events has now even led Sammy wonderstruck at the way the pre-orders have been made for the SIII. And, that too, within few days of launch!

Retailers Future Shop and Best Buy have already closed their pre-order facility due to the huge number of orders they received over the past few days. It looks like SIII is the Toyota Prius of the mobile phone industry.

What makes SIII so popular? Is it the design? Or is it the features that it offers? Well, the answer to that is pretty much easy.

This device clearly belongs to the next generation of devices with its long range of peculiar features. Making its price tag look affordable, Samsung is really giving consumers a very worthy product.

Carriers like TELUS, Bell, Rogers, WIND, SaskTel, Mobilicity, Virgin, and Videotron have already agreed upon releasing the 16GB and 32GB GalaxyS III.

The large 4.8-inch screen features an impressive resolution of 1,280 x 720. Even the iPhone 4S offers no competition against the raw processing power of the Galaxy SIII.

Chips of both phones are based on ARM’s Cortex A9 but Samsung’s Exynos 4412 has double the number of cores that can run nearly twice as fast. When it comes to the GPU, the SIII uses the Mali-400/MP4, which thoroughly outclasses the PowerVR SGX543MP2 in the iPhone 4S.

The SIII also has a far larger battery capacity at 2100mAh. With additional features like S-Beam, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI out, NFC, Gorilla Glass, Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI out and a microUSB port; S3 is truly unbeatable by specs.

No wonder the pre-orders just came like a tornado. Future Shop and Best Buy just couldn’t handle the numbers, we guess.
