June 9, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

This post is for the crazy gamers who have been enchanted with the avalanche of Lenovo Ideapads at the Consumer Electronics Show at the beginning of this year.

Though the machines stayed out of the limelight after the show being prepped for shipping out due to the delay with the Intel’s Ivy Bridge processor chips and Kepler based NVIDIA graphics, they are now ready to make their debut.

The avalanche was led by the Y580 machine which is a sure package meant for gamers and other folks who die for machine performance at the highest levels.

With a 15.6-inch wider display, these machines offer a range of options which starts from quad core i7 chip which runs at 2.3 GHz coupled with a GeForce GTX 660M and aplenty 8 GB of RAM.

If you need more, you need to have bucks with you so that you may go for a costly upgrade which gets you a 1080p screen and a Blu-ray combo drive and one Tera Byte space for storage.

Well, all good things come heavy. So, don’t expect a light weight feathery machine here.

To refresh you on the specs, all the machines in the group packs 6 cell Li-Polymer battery packs which offers you reasonable power life on the go, considering the heavy gaming duties these machines have to take up.

Loaded with Windows 7 Premium 64-bit OS, these machines also packs an HD cam for high quality chatting sessions.

Thinking of price tags too, these power machines come heavy with the range starting from $1299 which will extend till $1549.
