The company has announced that the HBO GO app will launch on Kindle Fire for users who have already subscribed to HBO through the typical cable channels.

The launch of the app to Kindle Fire is part of the networks move to add new devices and platforms that support HBO GO app.

With the launch, subscribers having a Kindle Fire can access all HBO original programming on the app free of cost. The package also offers all the movies the network has been licensed to show.

Users can also opt to view every episode of popular shows on HBO that have been aired in the past and those who are already running. All these shows together may give a huge basket of anything more than 1400 titles for the users to watch.

The app launch comes as part of the network’s latest strategy of getting more devices as an outlet to reach out to more viewers.

Their plan includes enabling users to access HBO content not only from TVs, mobile phones or tablets but also on PCs through web browsers.

The offer which enables the subscribers of the cable network to get access to the content through app and other means, hopes the company, will help retain viewers in the face of stiff competition from other players.
