If you are looking forward to the Computex next week, hear us out.

Tablet makers are all set to unveil their Windows 8 and Windows RT tablets at the hardware centric annual trade show.

Apparently, Acer, Asus and Toshiba will roll out their Windows 8 powered tablet. Meanwhile, Acer will display a tablet-based on Microsoft’s new software, Toshiba will show a tablet and a notebook-type device and Asustek will present tablets with detachable keyboards similar to its current Transformer model.

A report went on to say that Windows 8 will be come with chips from Intel under the hood, while Windows RT will run on ARM chips from Nvidia, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments. One particular Asus tablet might even come with an NVIDIA chipset.

Windows RT is the first mainstream desktop-class Microsoft OS to run on ARM processors.

Word has it that vendors such as Asus, Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo, and possibly Hewlett-Packard will bring out different types of Windows RT tablets.

Will the tablets finally come out of the glass boxes at the Computex and soon head for retail? We will have to wait and see.
