This would definitely be light on your pockets. Android fans out there, here is happy news for you. Vodafone has made an official announcement regarding the new Vodafone Smart II.

As you might know, this is a follow up edition of the last year’s Vodafone Smart. And of course, the predecessor was known as a ‘cheap and cheerful’ phone. This one is no different.

Basic features include 3.2-inch HVGA display and a processor of 800Mhz . The device sports a 3.2 megapixel camera, while storage options include 150MB of internal storage and a free 2GB microSD card.

Support for Google apps, as usual, such as Gmail, Gtalk, and YouTube as well as access to Play Store, Facebook and Twitter, is ensured. The device runs Android Gingerbread OS.

Keeping in mind the budget of the phone, we cannot ask for a higher Android version. The handset would come in two different shades – dark grey or white.

We know your eyes are searching for the price tag here. Okay, here’s the price. The budget phone comes for a low £70 ($108 US).

Vodafone users, tell us if you are going for it.
