Toshiba AT300 Android Ice Cream Sandwich Slate Priced at $450

Those who have been waiting to lay their hands on Toshiba’s upcoming Android tablet christened AT300 can now look forward to the arrival of the device.

The device that runs on Android Ice cream Sandwich OS has been made official by the Japanese major and what we get to see is a slate that has the potential to charm.

The tablet sporting a 10.1-inch display is complete with LED backlit Gorilla Glass and 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The touchscreen display offers 10 finger multi-touch support.

Though not confirmed, we guess the processor that hides under the bonnet is a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core chipset. The form factor has been molded out of aluminum, in a slim and svelte appearance.

The snappers include a 5 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash, a 2 megapixel front facing shooter again with LED flash. On the storage front is 1GB of DDR3 RAM.

Actually, two variants of the device would be released by the manufacturer -16GB or 32GB internal memory variants. Both can have microSD expansion up to 64GB. Google Play for Android apps would come pre-installed.

As mentioned earlier, the device very slim, just 8.95mm thick and weighs in at 590 grams. The battery set offers up to 10-hours of life.

Toshiba has also revealed the pricing details of the AT300 tablet. The device would be arriving in the UK with prices starting from £329, while in the US you can pick the device for around $450.
