Google 7-Inch Nexus Slate to be Out This June

May 25, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

You might have heard about the upcoming Google Nexus tablet already. That, in fact is the name that has been given by most people for Google’s newest 7-inch tablet, which is expected to be released this June.

It was first supposed to be launched in May 2012 for a price of $149, but due to reasons regarding pricing and a bit of outdated features, it was postponed.

The tablet is said to be manufactured by Asus and is speculated to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Now, that seems really likely, and it is also said to carry a quad-core processor.

The company will initially ship approximately 600,000 units of the product this June and is expected to ship over 2 million to 2.5 million units of the tablet by this year-end.

It seems that in order to keep up with the other tablets that are flowing in day by day with radical features, Google has arrived at a price $199 for the device.

That means there is a $50 increase than what was thought to be earlier. But if you think about it, it is still a good buy because there aren’t a lot of quad-cores out there for this price.

So, if you are looking for a budget-friendly device packed with all the essential stuff that you require and see in a lot of other tablets, this 7-inch tablet just might be the one for you.
