Droid RAZR, RAZR Maxx to Get Global GSM Roaming Following Droid 4 and HTC Rezound, Confirms Verizon

If you travel around very much, especially beyond national boundaries, a Smartphone that can run on GSM networks in other countries is a boon.

So what do you do if your favorite Android Smartphone gets the ability all of a sudden, throw parties? Then it is time since four Android LTE phones on Verizon is getting it soon.

Hope you remember one of the major network carriers in the US, Verizon, promising the Droid 4 on their network will get the ability soon. Now, it seems that more Android phones on Verizon are joining the team to give some good company to Droid 4.

A recent leak has made it clear that the stunning device from HTC – HTC Rezound – also will get the ability to travel the world GSM networks this year. However, it was just speculation so far, but now we have some confirmation, right from the horse’s mouth.

Verizon has now confirmed that both devices will get a software update soon which will make them compatible with GSM networks in other nations too. However, the interesting part of this confirmation is that the carrier has revealed that more handsets will be joining the party.

According to the confirmation form Verizon, Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx will also join the Droid 4 and HTC Rezound bringing the number of LTE Android smartphones on Verizon’s network to have this capability to four.

The Big Red now confirms that the users who travel overseas with the phones can use the voice service in more than 225 countries and receive data in more than 205 countries.  Pleasing, right?
