May 10, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

A possible Skype killer app from Vonage Mobile has just got a cute update for iPhone and Android platforms. The new update helps the excellent app get sharing capabilities.

The free downloadable app offers free calls and texting with anyone using the app, no matter where he or she is located on the globe. To make calls to those who don’t have the app, the service offers rates which are 30 percent lesser than Skype and 70 percent lesser that major carriers.

The update brings new sharing possibilities to the app. Now don’t leave the app to check whom you can call since the app automatically shows the contacts whom you can call or text for free. Moreover, users are offered a new way to share their photos and location directly from the app.

A new multi-invitation system allows users to invite friends and family to download the app, thus making a global network where communication is free of cost.

According to the company, the update brings the perfection of the latest innovations in VoIP technology which offers high-definition audio quality for the calls made with the help of the app.

The service also offers free calls to any phone in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico for a limited time. However, if you want to call friends who don’t have the app, rates start at 1.6 cents/min.

Calling credits are available in $4.99 and $9.99 increments, which can be purchased from Google Play or similar places.

Now, if you are excited, you may head to iTunes or Google Play to upgrade the Vonage Mobile app.
