When we think Android phones, the names naturally popping up in our mind are those cute devices from Samsung, HTC and Motorola.

However, it looks like it is high time for us to add one more name to that list – LG.  We have told you how we have found a potential Samsung Galaxy Note competitor in LG’s CTIA booth in the form of LG Optimus Vu.

But when it comes to elite clan of Android phones, LG keeps more in store than what it showed off so far. For instance, look at their recent announcement about a mammoth Android Smartphone on which they are working.

The rig is named Optimus LTE2 and we call it mammoth not because it has a 4.7 inch HD IPS display, but because it touts about a massive 2 GB RAM. This is something which we have never heard among the clan of Android smartphones.

We were really anxious to have a look at the rig when it comes out officially. However, we were lucky enough to have a peek at a leaked image of the phone.

If it was the Galaxy Note that came to our mind when we saw Optimus Vu in action, this one reminds us of the international version of the Galaxy S II from Samsung.

However, the news in the wind says that Optimus LTE2 features a dual-core S4 Snapdragon processor and obviously, it is a member of the Ice Cream Sandwich party hosted by Android complete with LG’s custom interface. Do you think 2 GB RAM is too much for a future smartphone?
