Windows Phone 8 Apollo Spotted in the Wild on a Lumia 900

Windows Phone 8 is forthcoming, and rumors are aplenty. The news in the wind had it recently that the new version of the Smartphone platform from Microsoft will debut on a new phone from Samsung.

There were a lot other rumors surrounding the upcoming platform but nothing surfaced more solid from sources than just words.

But now the trend has changed with some of the press sources in the tech news valley spotting a phone running on the Windows Phone 8 Apollo developer build, but the phone was not manufactured by Samsung.

Believe it or not, the picture in the wild we spotted has a Lumia 900 running the Windows Phone 8 Apollo as part of allegedly testing the developer build.

The future version of Microsoft’s; Smartphone platform is heard to support multicore chipsets and High Definition displays when it comes out in its full shape. But it has given a sneak peak much before an official announcement.

Though the reliability of the new leak is still under doubt, there are reports from other sources about spotting devices running on Windows Phone 8 at web analytics tools and results. So the chances of existence of such a device are not scant.

However, we hope we need not suffer this drought of information lack on Windows Phone 8 since Microsoft is likely to divulge on some of the details of the platform in the upcoming Windows Phone Developer Summit slated to take place next month.

If the rumor mills around Microsoft are to be believed, we will have a chance to preview the new version of the smartphone platform right there in the summit. So stay tuned.
