Microsoft Inside Xbox Feature Yanked From Xbox Live

Microsoft has discontinued their Xbox Live feature dubbed ‘Inside Xbox’, which once enabled Xbox users to get their hands on latest news and information on their consoles.

If you have been using the feature, you will know it had brought unto you featured videos, insider moves and all that.

The Xbox Live in Mexico and Japan will continue to produce first-party content for its members via other media outside of the Inside Xbox brand.

The company has said that Xbox Live is currently looking at its operating model for Inside Xbox which could potentially result in some changes, but they have no news there to share with the people yet.

They have made it known that Xbox 360 videos will not cease to exist, but rather that they will be living in different branding opportunities. The main reason for this sudden change could be the low user demand of the feature in Xbox.

The company has also said they will be leveraging third-party news and video content available because of a variety of existing and future partners and will be supplementing that content with select first-party offerings.

This isn’t a big deal though. This feature was ignored by many; some didn’t even know it existed.

So in reality, they just removed a totally useless feature that does not change much at all. We mean, if someone wants to get the latest information or news on the console, they would just log onto the internet. Right?
