May 2, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Looks like BestBuy has spilled the beans about a yet-to-be-announced camera from Olympus by posting the rig in their listing for a short period of time.

Olympus TG-11 iHS Tough camera gave a sneak peak to everybody for some moments through the confused posting at the retailer’s website, which they pulled without much delay.

According to the features and specs listed at the online retailer site, the cam packs a 12 megapixel, 2.3 inch CMOS sensor that helps in capturing high resolution pictures to the tune of 3968 x 2976 pixels.

The rig packs a 3 inch OLED display which helps in better viewing of your catch, easy navigation and composing.

To capture the moments of life in high quality, it offers 1080p, 720p or VGA video shoot. The 4.5-18mm lens with the cam offers 4x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom with an aperture range of f/2 to f/4.9.

The TruePic VI image processor and the dual image stabilizer reduces image blur from camera shake. With an ISO up to 6400, crystal clear shooting is guaranteed even in low-light conditions.

To allow the user to express his or her creativity to the maximum, the cam packs portrait, landscape, night scene, night + portrait, indoor, self-portrait, sunset, fireworks, cuisine and beach & snow modes along with Magical filters.

In burst mode, it can capture up to 200 pictures at 3 fps. The special rugged design of the cam makes it water resistant and to survive pressure, shock and dust conditions to an extent.

Hope we will soon hear an official announcement on its price details, meanwhile check a cached version of the BestBuy posting here.
