Nokia Lumia 800 Outs Firmware Update to Fix Audio Issues; Arriving This Week

May 1, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Users of the Nokia Lumia 800, who were as of late complaining about an audio bug, have comforting news.

The Finnish phone maker has decided to spit out a firmware update that will hopefully fix the bug.  The Nokia Lumia 800 is a flagship Windows Phone device currently available in the market.

The update – named 12072 – will not only be fixing the audio volume bug, but will also add utilities to its camera function as well.

The updated camera app will revise the camera settings, which, we hear, would feature an automatic detection of 50Hz and 60Hz flickering, using the flicker reduction technique.

If things go as planned, the Nokia Lumia 800 12072 firmware update will reach legitimate owners by the end of this week.

However, we are yet to know which country will be the first on the list to receive the update. It doesn’t matter as long as the update is availed this week itself.

In the meanwhile, we also learn that the Nokia/Microsoft update is available for manual download. However, we advice the users to wait for the makers to push this update officially to end users.
