Huawei Ascend P1 Smartphone in Asia this May; Europe to Get it Later

We have been hearing a lot about the Huawei Ascend P1 smartphone of late. The latest piece of info brings some added cheer, though. The flagship handset form Huawei will become available in Hong Kong,Taiwan and Australia this May. Those of you residing in Latin America can expect the device in June, while it would sail to Europe by this summer.

The Huawei Ascend P1 is a gorgeous phone packed with all kinds of good stuff, and they include a 1.5 GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4460 Cortex-A9 Processor and a 4.3 inch Gorilla glass super AMOLED touch screen with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.

Part of the package is an 8 megapixel BSI camera in the rear with dual LED flash and a 1.3 mega pixel snapper on the front that allows video recording at 1080p with 30 fps.

Also added are Dolby mobile 3.0 + 5.1 surround sound technology, a memory card slot which can support microSD (TransFlash) upto 32GB, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB ROM, WIFI, USB, the Android 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich OS, a PoverVR SGX540 GPU and a standard Li-ion 1670 mAh battery.

The global availability of the Ascend P1  could be seen as a significant milestone for Huawei, as the brand has started moving into bigger space and extending their markets.
