Apple Working on Revolutionary Product; Launch Likely this Year-End

April 14, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

When it comes to Apple, we guess things are revolutionary whenever something hits the assembly line. French designer Philippe Starck has now revealed that he has been roped in by Apple to design a new upcoming revolutionary product.

That has left the tech world guessing randomly on what this ‘revolutionary’ stuff could be.

The designer, during an interview with French radio and French newspaper Le Figaro, said the product will hopefully come out in eight months – which is by the end of this year.

He also wanted to maintain that “religious cult of secrecy” of Apple, so nothing more on this regard has been revealed. However Starck has revealed that he used to meet the late Steve Jobs once a month for seven years and he continues to travel to see Jobs’ widow Laurene Powell.

So what do you think the revolutionary product would be? Well, another eight month’s wait means by that time it would be the iPhone launch season.

So can it be a more advanced handset? Since it is facing increased competition from the Android mobile platform, the concept of a more advanced iPhone stands a chance.

Well, it can also be the much rumored Apple TV, which is said to be waiting for an unveiling this year itself. The Starck connection could well be the remote control that would power the TV. This speculation stems from the fact that Starck and team are experts in this area.

Well, we cannot just ignore this as a rumor. We guess we need to wait a bit for more solid details to come our way. Stay with us.
