The new LG Optimus Elite handset, featuring Google Wallet, is expected to hit Sprint and Virgin Mobile, if the rumors come true. Actually, the Optimus Elite is Sprint’s version of the famous Optimus Net. And, the photographs spotted show the device as a very compact handset with 3.2 inch screen high definition screen.

The Optimus Elite comes under entry level and hence we hope the device will be a huge hit in the market. Also, the device sports many advanced features such as Near Field Communication (NFC) and Google Wallet. All these factors could make anyone to fall for the handset.

Both handsets are expected to come with an 800 MHz processor, high definition screen of 320 x 480 pixels resolution, and five megapixel cameras with flash at its rear.

The configuration appears not so bad considering its entry level status. The device is expected to run on Android 2.3 platform. Virgin Mobile adaptation of the Optimus Elite reveals the Google Play Store icon, hinting that the entire world is getting adapted to the recently revived app store.

The Sprint version of the device might start shipping very shortly, whereas you should wait until May to see LG Optimus Elite running on Virgin Mobile network. The fate of the device on other carriers is unclear for now. The device is expected to bear a price tag of $100.
