The hopeless hours of waiting are over now, and the Canon EOS 5D Mark III has started shipping.

Well, it has all the nice necessities any shutter bug would die for. It packs a 22.3 mega pixel full frame CMOS sensor to make you happy with high resolution images which will put some punch into your marks of creativity.

Coupled with the Digic 5+ Imaging processor, the sensor gives you the best results you would expect from a flagship device from the legendary name in the snapping device business. The rig is real fast with 6 frames per second continuous shooting mode.

And all the envy will be towards it since the new rig is real higher breed than the predecessor 5D Mark II and packs 1080/24p, 25p and 30p video capture, which fetches you high definition movies of those precious moments.

The other niceties include a 61 point autofocus and a high ISO value which you will not expect with such systems.

To bless you with better results, it comes with a massive 102400 ISO. All this wealth is tightly packed inside a rugged Magnesium alloy body and a stainless steel lens mount.

As we told you earlier, it comes with a body-only price tag of $3,499 while with a EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM kit-lens, it will cost $4,299.

The early impressions on this device are very positive, with us and with the people who got a chance to try it for a short time. However, real evaluation will come once the rig starts reaching people. So when you get one, let us know how you feel about this brand new gun from Canon.
