AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update Leaked

Finally, AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket owners can also smile. Yes, you guys can now get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update on your handsets.

The official Android update pack carrying the build date March 14, 2012 has surfaced by way of a leak. So, along with the original Galaxy S II, the LTE Skyrocket version handsets are now part of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich list of devices.

Along with the update bundle, you can also get the full installation instructions and download mirrors from the leaked source. The software update pack can be installed on the handsets via Odin.

The features including NFC and Google Wallet are reported to be working in the AT&T Skyrocket phones. Meanwhile, the official release of the Android 4.0 update pack for Galaxy S II Skyrocket is not known as yet.

Here is a brief outline of the AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket to refresh your memory. The Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread smartphone sports a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution.

Under the hood, the handset is equipped with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB built-in memory. It is incorporated with two cameras: an 8-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter for video calling.

Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, micro USB 2.0, micro SD card slot and an 1850 mAh Li-ion battery.
