Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh aka Tango ROM Leaks

March 16, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Everyone out there is very much excited with leaks and rumors about the upcoming Tango update for the Windows Phone platform.

The excitement need not wait till a formal update notification hits your device since an unofficial Windows Phone Tango ROM has surfaced online now, much before its formal arrival.

Tango Build 7.10.98.8773 can now be downloaded at XDA Developers, and make it suit your device if you are that much of a geek.

However if you own an HTC HD2 or Samsung Omnia 7, you can get separate ROMs here since the developer enthusiasts at the forum have gone on to release unofficial ROMs for these devices  after the build has surfaced.

Though the update is almost complete in its official stables, it will take considerable time before it goes s to handset manufacturers and then to get to you through the carriers as Over The Air updates.

So you will have to wait little more if you don’t want to fiddle with the unofficial ROM leaks.

Though a minor update, Microsoft has named it as Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh considering the refreshing feel it brings to the users.

The Tango update is expected to bring in optimizations for low-memory devices and improved MMS messaging and language support.

Nokia has already announced their plans to roll out three new Lumia phones with Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh update. They will see the light of the day by the end of the month.

Well, if you cannot wait till then, head to the unofficial leaked ROMs here.
