Sony has added one more device to their product line for the shutterbugs. Preceding the gadgets in its α line of cameras, the new α57 camera bears the Sony signature on DSLRS with the innovative Translucent Mirror design and its 16.1 effective megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor.

The cam packs continuous auto focus ability both for taking stills and for capturing videos since the Translucent Mirror design guides the light to both the image sensor and auto focus sensor simultaneously.

In addition, the Tru-Finder electronic view finder with this rig makes the job easier for the user to frame, focus and preview shots. Users can also opt to use the angle adjustable 7.5 cm Xtra Fine LCD display on the rear too.

Loads of features are packed with it including its ability to take up to 12 frames per second in continuous shooting mode. To help you get crystal clear, noise less images even at low light conditions, Sony α57 offers 100 to 16000 ISO range.

To keep the precious moments full of life, it offers Full HD video capture at 60p, 60i or 24p frame rates. To enhance your creativity, modes like Auto Portrait Framing, which is the first of its kind in the industry, are also offered in this device.

Auto Portrait Framing uses rule of third and face detection abilities to produce professional portraits if the user is trying to take one and keeps the original apart for further reference for the user.

Talking about the price tags, the body alone will cost you $700. Next month when the Sony α57 interchangeable lens camera hits the market it will cost you $800 along with an 18-55 mm kit lens.
