Apple Next Gen iPad Event a Week Away; Biggest Rival is iPad 2

Barcelona is at the top of the news circles now. There is so much to tell about the Mobile World Congress. But it will fade away soon and San Francisco will take the place. Remember? The Cupertino giant has scheduled an event in San Francisco next week and is expected to unwrap the next generation iPad.

Just to come out of the overdose of the stories from Mobile World Congress, we wanted to remind you about the upcoming Apple event and share a thought or two on the next generation tablet device from Apple.

iPad 3, if we can call it so ( we don’t know what Apple is actually going to call it when it comes out), will take its birth into a world with stiff competition. We don’t mean other tablet makers. Though Samsung may dream a day when Apple loyalists will desert the lines in front of Apple store and run for something else, the next iPad need not fear about deserting fans.

However, it seems that the next generation iPad will have to face the competition from the same blood brother iPad 2, since there seems to be no reasons for an average iPad 2 user to go for an upgrade.

Though recent studies has shown that Apple users go back to Apple stores for a replacement or upgrade periodically, we find no reason for users to go for an upgrade for iPad 2. But that is just what we felt when we used the first iPad too.

Since it is Apple, we hope they will bring in some ground breaking features at San Francisco that will melt away the walls around doubting folks about going for an upgrade. Stay tuned, San Francisco event is almost at the door step.
