Apart from supporting lightening speeds and integrated LTE, the new Pro chip packs the power of Adreno 320 Graphic Processing Unit to give you maximum high resolution displays. It also offers hardware and software compatibility with the S4 class.

The new GPU is expected to bring even up to four times performance improvement to the chip than the predecessor.

It also brings in better multimedia capacities and more realistic 3D graphics effects through improved hardware acceleration and advanced rendering capabilities. The new multimedia capabilities include computational camera which will enable manufactures to include features like light-field cameras.

S4 Pro is rolled out at the apt time, since it is tailored to work with the popular operating platforms including the upcoming platform from the software developer giant Microsoft –  Windows 8.

Moreover, the S4 Pro gives more chances that Snapdragon to hold its line in the face of toughest competition from other chip makers. Presently, 340 devices from different manufacturers are estimated as sporting a snapdragon processor.

The company claims that another 400 are in production. With the introduction of S4 Pro, the number is likely to increase.  The rig will come to market in the second half of the year.
