Samsung GT-i9300 Spotted with 1024 x 600 Resolution Display; This isn’t the Galaxy S III for Sure

February 21, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

If you would remember, a bunch of leaks had some time ago hinted that the Galaxy S III was being readied under the model name GT-i9300. The latest we get to encounter says that the GT-i9300 device is not the much-spoken about Galaxy S III after all.

This interesting piece of information was spotted in the UA Profile of GT-i9300 published on Samsung Mobile’s WAP site.

From the page in front of us, we get to know that the GT-i9300 has been marked as a device sporting a 1024 x 600 resolution display. This hints that the device will probably be a lower resolution 7-inch tablet and not the Galaxy S III.

Interestingly, the GT-i9300 profile shows some similarities with that of Samsung’s another tablet P3100. Speculations are rife that the GT-i9300 will be a smartphone from Samsung.

In the past, the GT-i9300 was rumored to be the Galaxy S III, as the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Nexus were labeled GT-i9200 and GT- i9250 respectively.

Going by the high resolution display in the latest Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Note, it needs to be believed that the Galaxy S III will be coming in this range or with higher pixels. Meanwhile, it is also rumored that the Galaxy S III will be coming under the codename GT-i9500.

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S III will not be seen at MWC 2012. We hope more details on the devices will be revealed by the company without much delay. What do you think?
