Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy mini 2 Unveiled; Android 2.3 Handsets to Hit Europe First

Sammy fanboys have more than one reason to cheer.  The company is bringing you a double delight, in fact.

Samsung has officially revealed their next two smartphones – Ace 2 and mini 2 under the Galaxy line up. Both the handsets had appeared earlier by way of many leaks, if you would remember.

Of the two, Galaxy Ace 2 is the best with its wonderful features. The Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered handset sports a 3.8-inch PLS TFT display with WVGA resolution. Under the hood, the device packs a dual-core 800MHz processor, 768MB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory.

It is integrated with dual-cameras: a 5-megapixel snapper with auto focus and Flash and a VGA shooter in front. A 1,500mAh Li-ion battery backs the 122g smartphone that measures 62.2 x 118.3 x 10.5 mm in size. Other features include HSDPA 14.4 connectivity, GPS/Glonass, Wi-Fi Direct and many more.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy mini 2 is equipped with a 3.27-inch HVGA touch-screen, an 800MHz processor, 512 MB RAM and 4GB internal memory. Along with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, the handset is incorporated with a 3-megapixel fixed focus camera at the back.

A 1300 mAh Li-ion battery powers the NFC-enabled 106.8 g device that measures 58.6 x 109.4 x 11.9 mm in dimensions. HSDPA 7.2Mbps connectivity, A-GPS, DLNA are some of the other notable features.

Both the smartphones feature Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, USB 2.0, micro SD slot, optional NFC, 3.5mm Ear Jack, Music Player with SoundAlive, Stereo FM Radio with RDS, TouchWiz UI, Samsung Samsung Hubs and ChatON and lot more

The two devices will be first launched in Europe. The Ace 2 will reach the UK in April whereas mini 2 will be released in France in March. Stay tuned as we go looking for the pricing info.
