This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. They’ve been doing this for years now and we are just now sort of getting official confirmation on the development of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. According to french gaming site GameBlog, Amazon France posted a product page for Black Ops 2 and then had it removed shortly after.
Sure, it could have just been a typo or a large misunderstanding, but Activision’s response to the manner all but confirms that the Call of Duty title releasing in 2012 will be Black Ops 2.
Once GameBlog made a post about the potential outing, they received a message from Activision asking them to remove the the news from their website. They refused follow through on the developers request which resulted in them being removed from invite list on the upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron press event.
Even so, we already had reports from earlier this year that Activison bought the domain name “blackops2.com” and, as previously stated, they already confirmed that we would be receiving another Call of Duty title in 2012.
So who’s excited for Call of Duty Black Ops? Let us know in the comments below. I have a feeling I already know the answer to that.
