Asus Transformer Prime Bug Fix Rolls Out

February 11, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Unexpected reboots, among some other things have been annoying the Asus Transformer Prime Users. But, not anymore. The company is rolling out an update to resolve the issue.

Asus tweeted on February 9th that a new FOTA update is rolling out for the TF201 Prime. The tweet reads thus: Fixes the random reboot problem. Have you got yours yet?

The company has always denied that the Transformer prime had hardware problems. They even shot down online retailer Clove’s claim that it received faulty Transformer Prime units that had WiFi problems.

But the company has now come out confirming the bug that causes random system reboots.

The Ice Cream Sandwich for the original Transformer is in testing and is scheduled for release this month, the company said, as a response to the Twitter users’ question about the Android 4.0 upgrade.

Asus has also announced on Facebook that stock is still landing weekly and in increasing numbers. The majority of our resellers have now fulfilled their back orders so more free stock should be available soon, it added.
