How would the Facebook album of Mario look, if the character had a real life? Well, we know you can imagine such an album, but a photo has recently emerged showing Mario holding a bottle of beer.
Mario is not alone, when it comes to fake Facebook photos of video game characters. Princess Peach from the Mushroom Kingdom also seems to enjoy uploading and accepting hot comments from friends and fans.
Well, Goro from Mortal Kombat has posed with two friends after working out in the gym recently. However, the friends look real humans with just two hands. Nathan Nate Drake has also put a family photo in Facebook during his visit to Grand Canyon. Though busy, Star Fox also has just clicked a self portrait and has uploaded it to the Facebook profile, it seems.
Well, to be clear, these are not somebody’s prank, but a creative digital art series from Andrew Golden, an artist based in the US. As many as 9 recent works from his new series of art work include photos from the Facebook profiles of video game characters.
Though, all the works in the series look awesome, Goro working out in gym and an intimate moment from Link and Zelda of Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda look more interesting. The works are so detailed that they don’t stop at just fictional snapshots.
They go on to include comments both from fans and other characters. For example, on Link and Zelda’s photo, a desperate Ganon exclaims if there was a dislike button on Facebook, while Navi and Goron bless the couple.
Good thought indeed. Don’t you also think so?
