Modern Warfare 3’s Content Season Continues With New Map Releasing On February 21st, March DLC Already Being Teased

February 8, 2012, By Christian Davis

There’s nothing better than a steady stream of new content for one of the most played shooters of all time. Modern Warfare 3’s content season has proven to be a worthy reason for purchasing Call of Duty’s Elite Premium service.

Receiving multiplayer maps and new spec-ops missions first (If you’re on the 360) is turning out to be essential to getting the full Call of Duty experience. In a little less than two weeks, another multiplayer map will be thrown into the mix and goes by the name of Overwatch.

The third map in the content season already feels similar to Modern Warfare 2’s  “High Rise.” This new location will drop you and your team into a construction site on top of a New York city skyscraper. The multi-leveled warzone will have  several side routes for various attack angels and a central bridge which will be optimal for snipers.

Along with Overwatch, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer games have given us a little teaser of what content we’ll be receiving in for March’s DLC. We’ll be receiving a new multiplayer map called Black Box and two new spec-ops missions called Black Ice and Negotiator.

You’ll only receive the content on the date listed above if you’re a Call of Duty Elite Premium member and if you’re on the Xbox 360. There’s still no word on when non-premium paying members will be able to purchase the content. Playstation 3 owners will receive the first batch of DLC on February 28th.
