Kinect Star Wars And Xbox 360 Bundle Coming April 3rd

February 8, 2012, By Christian Davis

I just recently purchased the Gears of War themed Xbox 360. The cool design, Gears of War sound effects, and extra hard drive space definitely made the Xbox stick out in my gaming set up.

Now that I know the Kinect Star Wars Xbox 360 is coming in just a few short months and comes with R2-D2 sound effects, I may exchange Epic’s Xbox 360 for this one.  Xbox 360 and Lucas Arts have announced that Kinect Star Wars will be available on April 3rd along with the Kinect Star Wars Xbox 360 bundle.  It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything from the game and it looks like it’s shaping up quite nicely and we’ll have our fingers crossed that the gameplay holds up to what we’re expecting.

Kinect Star Wars will have Star Wars fans interacting with some of the franchise’s best moments from the films and truly immerse them into the Star Wars universe. The title will have five modes: Jedi Destiny:  Dark Side Rising, Podracing, Rancor Rampage, Galactic Dance Off, and Duels of Fate. This will be one of the few Kinect titles that will not only have several mini-games, but a single player experience as well.

Jedi Destiny will not only have you be apart of a single player campaign, but you’ll also get to experience everything that made Star Wars great including: engaging in space battles, using Speeder Bikes and Landspeeders, and have intense duels with enemies such as Count Doku.

Also, with the Galactic Dance Off mode, you’ll probably  be able to dance as a galactic slave for Jaba the Hut. That’s what we’ve all wanted for years right?

Check out the screenshots below to get a glimpse of the new modes in all their glory.
