Killzone For PSN Delayed Indefinitely

February 8, 2012, By Christian Davis

Remember when the original Killzone was suppose to arrive on Sony’s PSN on January 24th? If you haven’t noticed the date, it’s now February 8th and we still don’t have Killzone on the PSN. For fans who never got to experience the PS2 first person shooter, this is a huge set back for those who want to see how the Killzone trilogy started. So what gives? Well, to our surprise, this developers themselves don’t really know what’s going on either. Which is…quite strange.

On the official Killzone Twitter page, they tweeted “With regards to KZ1 for PS3, not sure what happened but I’ve been informed that it’s been delayed indefinitely,” and followed that tweet up with “I have no further info about KZ1 for PS3, save for the fact that it’s delayed indefinitely. If I learn anything else, I’ll tweet it here.”

That’s really all the information we have regarding this manner. My best guess would be that the delay is due to a planned HD re-release of the title. Everything has been getting that treatment so it makes sense to hold off on a PSN version.

What do you think this could mean? What if they just cancelled the project. That’d really suck.
