Nokia announced release of white version of the Lumia 800 smartphone on Monday. The white-colored Windows phone will reach outlets by the end of this month.

Nokia started selling the Lumia 800 phones last year. Only black and cyan colored versions were available then.

The phone was widely welcomed by people all around the world. This might have prompted the company to release a new version, specifically aiming at folks who are obsessed with white color.

The white version will assume a glossy finish rather than matte coloring of other models. “Since we began selling it late last year, Nokia Lumia 800 has received rave reviews around the world,” said Ilari Nurmi, Vice president of the company’s product marketing division.

Nurmi added that “Now in white, the Lumia 800 brings with it an even more premium look and feel with its gloss finish, but packed with power and performance underneath its sleek body.” The Lumia 800 sports Windows Phone 7.5 software on board.

The device conceals a single core processor that clocks at 1.4 GHz. The 3.7 inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

Other facilities include 8- megapixel camera with LED flash and Carl Zeiss lens at the rear, and 02.11 b/g/n WiFi and GPS connectivity. The handset offers an internal storage space of 16 GB.

Techies would definitely love this device as it offers loads of user friendly options such as one touch social networking access, easy grouping of contacts, integrated communication threads and Internet Explorer 9. In addition, Lumia smartphones are integrated with Nokia Drive to deliver full fledged navigation.

Nokia Music features MixRadio, an application that allow streaming of various local music stations. Nokia aims to initiate a revolution with the release of white colored Lumia 800.
