Pentax is a player who tries everything to get an upper hand over the rival when it comes to competition in the market. Their new tactic has come out in the form of an innovatively designed camera, named Pentax K-01.
Pentax gives the credit for the design to famous Marc Newson, who is well known for his endeavor in designing a wide range of objects from furniture to bicycles to cars and even aircraft.
Apart from the breathtaking form and design, the new rig from Pentax houses a 16 mega pixel APS-C sensor. The camera comes with the unique ability to mount any lens Pentax has ever made.
With an ability to shoot up to 6 frames per second, the new rig from Pentax also features sensor-shift image stabilization and a three inch LCD display on the rear.
Available in black, white and yellow shades, this mirror-less camera comes with the designer’s autograph logo on the bottom of each unit.
Newson has also made his mark with the new Pentax DA 40mm F2.8 XS interchangeable lens, which is touted as the thinnest one to be manufactured under this category so far.
Well, coming to the prices, the body of the camera only will cost you $750. The lens kit including the new DA 40mm XS in Marc Newson designed packaging will make it to $900.
If you are more interested in the thinnest interchangeable lens, it alone costs $250. All this stuff will start shipping in March. Now, tell us your opinion about the yellow shaded model.
