Netflix has some plans to work on this year. First, getting over the Quickster idea. Then, working on streaming 3D movies. Going by what the company’s CEO Reed Hastings said on the day of the earnings call, we need to expect lots.

Streaming subscribers listen. “On streaming, that is definitely something we can do and we will be looking at”,Hastings said.

The company is already offering 3D Blu-rays for rent, but Hastingsdid not elaborate on how well these titles are doing. Subscription plans for physical discs have been declining sharply. And Hastings said during the call that he expects these numbers to decline quarter-over-quarter forever.

There is more; Netflix will finally start offering separate streaming queues for families this year, and it looks like the company is continuing to roll out Netflix for Kids on connected devices as well.

The company had recently launched kids-focused UI on Apple TVs and the initiative has been very successful.

Also, tablets are not over looked here. We do see people enjoying a lot more of their viewing on tablets relative to the PC, said Hastings. Don’t you think there’s lots in the pipeline.
