So the quad core phenomenon is kicking in. Acer of course, is in line with yet another quad core tablet after the Iconia Tab A700.

The Iconia Tab A510 is reported to be available soon in Europe. The company is said to have held a press event in Germany recently, where it unveiled the new tablet.

The Iconia Tab A510 will be available from April onwards for a price of €500. The A510 is expected to sport a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, unlike the A700 which has a 1920 x 1200 pixels screen.

Other than the a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, the tablet is also said to come with  1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage on board, Dolby Mobile sound and dual cameras. There could well be a 32 GB and a 64 GB version as well.

And yeah, the A510 will come packed with the full power of the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. With all that power of the four cores and the ICS, this one is sure to be a rival of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, the first quad core tablet.

No word on US availability though. We hope to see it soon after its Europe launch.
