As we had already reported, Nokia Lumia 900, the latest smartphone from the Finnish company, was unveiled at CES. The handset will be available in the US on the AT&T network. Now, we have happy news for those who love to use the mobile on other carriers.

We hear the Lumia 900 will reach the non-AT&T crowd on other major carriers by mid-2012. It is reported that AT&T’s temporary exclusivity will expire 45 days after the device’s launch on March 18th.

Post March 18th, the Windows Phone handset will hop on to other networks such as T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon too. It is reported that Nokia will be working with the carriers on launching different versions of Lumia 900.

Rumors suggest that the Lumia 900 variant will be seen on T-Mobile in the third quarter of 2012. Both Sprint and Verizon are expected to get the handset around the same period. It is rumored that the new variant will be coming with a 12-megapixel camera, instead of the present 8-megapixel shooter.

The source of the news is from a carrier that hinted about Nokia’s interest in working with all the carriers in promoting their new smartphone. So we might see the Lumia 900 around the third quarter of this year. But, this time lag could certainly disappoint the other network users.

Do you think the Nokia Lumia 900 will soon arrive on your favorite network?
