Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition Announced

If you’ve been patiently waiting for the right time to pick up NeatherRealm Studio’s excellent fighter Mortal Kombat, now is the perfect time. Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition will be coming to store shelves on February 28th. A lot of studios have been re-releasing the title some time later with all of it’s downloadable content bundled together with it. Good things comes to those who wait right? So what DLC comes with the Komplete Edition? Quite a bit actually.Fighting game enthusiasts love having new characters to play with and that’s what a lot of the added DLC consists of.

Fan favorites Skarlet, Kenshi, and Rain will be included as well as the horror movie icon Freddy Kreuger.  Mortal Kombat’s DLC also included 15 Klassic character skins and fatalities from the original Mortal Kombat game for Sub-Zero, Reptile, and Scorpion. That’ all the DLC that came out for the game and it’s a pretty hefty amount. But wait, there’s still more to come with the Komplete Edition of Mortal Kombat.

I’m happy to report that the Komplete Edition comes with a digital download of 1995 Mortal Kombat film, which is probably the best videogame movie ever released. Tagging along with the film is also a soundtrack called Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by The Warriors.

The bundle will be available for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 28th.
