Apple iOS 5.0.1 Rectifies Sim Card Problem

Apple’s latest phone, iPhone 4S, has been one of the least expected phones to have a network problem. But there isn’t any need to worry as Apple is here to save the day.

The Cupertino-based company is rolling out the updated iOS version, iOS 5.0.1. The problem is not formally reported yet as there won’t be any for the CDMA users that accounts for much more than the number of GSM users that uses iPhone 4S.

Moreover, not all GSM users are having this problem. It occurs for only those who travel frequently.

The 4S seems to have some troubles recognizing the user’s sim in new circles. The technical severity of the problem is not known till now.

But with the remedy popping out of official sites, the risk is reduced and the phone is cured. It is not yet known about why Apple didn’t take necessary measures for this problem earlier at the testing phases but that’s irrelevant now.

The steps one should take if they experience problem such as ‘no sim is inserted’ or ‘no service’ are as given below. Back up your user content and settings using iTunes or iCloud.

Restore your iPhone 4S using iTunes. After the process is complete, restore your user content and settings from your backup.

To confirm that you’ve successfully restored, verify that the version is now iOS 5.0.1 (9A406) in Settings > General > About. After the restoration, the phone is as good as new and also becomes a better one with no network problems at all.
