Raptr Tells Us What The Most Played Games Of 2011 Are

2011 is about to come to a close and there were a lot of fantastic games released this year. There was hardly enough time to play all of them and many migrated to their favorites titles. So which titles did you friends play the most? Leading gamer network Raptr spent some time gathering information and have gotten the data for the most played games of the year.

The data is based off of a combination  of gameplay data, including average individual play time, session length, and total playtime. You can probably guess what the games are already, so find out if you’re right.

Here’s the list below:

  • Most Played Game – The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda Softworks)
  • Most Played Shooter – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Activision)
  • Most Played RPG – The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda Softworks)
  • Most Played Open-World Game – Batman: Arkham City (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment)
  • Most Played Sports Game – FIFA Soccer 12 (EA Sports)
  • Most Played Social Game – The Sims Social (EA Play)
  • Most Played New IP – L.A. Noire (Rockstar)
  • Most Successful Paid to Free-to-Play Game – DC Universe Online (Sony Online Entertainment)
Along with the report, comes some interesting facts about the titles. For instance, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 doubled the amount of play time Battlefield 3 had in it’s opening month.
