In case you feel like going on an online shopping jaunt now, here’s one device offer that could make you happy.

HP Folio Ultrabook is now available for a price of $703, online. The standard price of $1049 has been reduced by $346.50 with a coupon issued by Hewlett Packard.

With a second generation i5 processor, this device is expected to sell better than all other devices in the segment.

You may know  that an Ultrabook is a computer in a category of thin and lightweight ultra portable laptops, as defined by a specification from Intel.

With this marketing initiative and an associated $300 million fund, Intel hopes to stimulate the market for Intel-based laptops similar to Apple’s MacBook Air, against rising competition from ARM processor-based tablet computers.

If you would want to refresh your memory on the technical specifications of the HP Folio Ultrabook before you flash your credit card, here goes:

The device comes with a  i5-2467M processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB solid-state hard drive, a backlit keyboard and a preloaded Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.

The device is a 3.3 pound, 0.7 inch thick machine. As Ultrabooks are complex and costlier to manufacture compared to laptops, the price tag offered by HP is quite attractive and is destined to boost the sales quotient for sure.
