[Update] New Screenshots And Video For Final Fantasy 7 Remake

December 4, 2011, By Christian Davis

UPDATE: Turns out this game is just a fan made project with two goals: Learn how to create a videogame and show appreciation for one of the best games of all time.

What many consider to be the best Final Fantasy game of all time, Final Fantasy 7 is something that gamers praise on a daily basis. A remake of the title was confirmed in April of last year, but has since gone quiet since then. Now, All Games Beta has posted several brand new images of the new remake and it looks fantastic.

There are several images from the game and of course, you’ll see everyone’s favorite Final Fantasy character, Cloud, with a shiny new high definition coating.

Each image has a watermark that link players to a Final Fantasy 7 remake website, FF7remake.hostoi.com and gives a little information on the game such as the engine used to create the demo (shown below) and the origin of Final Fantasy 7. There’s no indication of what console the game will be appearing on, but the past confirmation only stated that it would appear on Sony’s Playstation 3.

The remake is set to arrive sometime in the fourth quarter of 2012 and will be one of the best selling games of that year. The remakes introduce some of the greatest games of all time to a completely new audience which is never a bad thing. Check out the screenshots below as well as the game in action. As usual, let us know what you think in the comments.
