Verizon Release Dates Leaked; Galaxy Nexus a Week Away

December 3, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We are never short on the Nexus rumors, and until we hear some solid dates, speculations are bound to crash in on a daily basis. This time around we have some tentative dates for a Verizon lineup.

According to the talk of mobile world, Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be on shelves on December 9. Following the Nexus would be the Motorola tablets.

Both of Motorola’s Android-powered tablets, the Droid Xyboard 10.1 and Droid Xyboard 8.2, is said to make an entrance on December 12. Then we heard about a mid-December release of the white version of the Droid RAZR.

Verizon is also, reportedly, thinking about a Christmas gift in the form of a Droid. The last release is supposedly the Motorola Droid 4, which would be seen in stores just three days before Christmas.

Motorola hasn’t listed down the dates officially, but we are mighty sure of the tablets making the stores before the New Year. And these tentative dates should be taken with a grain of salt, like you know, but it feels good to have something to look forward to.

There’s another thing too. Verizon, it seems, is lining up their stores with ‘subject matter experts’ (SMEs) on the Galaxy Nexus.

An SME is a person who is a designated representative of each store. They catch hold of the device a few days prior to the gadget’s launch, so that they can get familiar with the device and become an expert on it.

This happens usually a week before the launch, which means we are exactly a week away from December 9. Perhaps that accounts for something.

Anyway, we will know soon enough.
