Galaxy Nexus Walks FCC Corridors Yet Again

December 2, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

The terrains of FCC are not unfamiliar places to Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus. It has passed through this land many times.

Every time the Nexus went through FCC, it ensured that it won one or another approvals for various carriers in different regions worldwide. Such was its reputation.

This Ice Cream Sandwich device was spotted again at FCC gates. While coming out, it –  not surprisingly – had in its bag one more approval – the  nod for GSM 850/1900 and WCDMA II/IV bands that are used by AT&T in the United States.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus features a 1.2 GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor, 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD 720p display, 5-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and a stock version of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

However, we doubt whether it would be routing to Canada, as the Nexus is already available for pre-order in US.  Nexus is scheduled to be launched in the US on December 8th.

AT&T is still silent about this. So we have to wait a bit before jumping into a conclusion. Could this Android phone be boarding the Canadian ship? Do share with us what you think.
