Apple iPhone 5 and iPad 3 4G LTE Enable Devices Next Year

December 2, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Have you had enough of all those news on the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 just because they do not boast 4G connectivity?

Well, let’s move on to the iPhone 5 and iPad 3, with 4G LTE of course.

Remember the iOS 5 code hinting at the next generation iPhone and iPad?

Now, according to reports from Nikkei Business, Apple is gearing up to launch the sixth generation iPhone and the third generation iPad with 4G LTE connectivity on board.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has reportedly met with NTT DoCoMo president Kiyoyuki Tsujimura and VP Takashi Yamada earlier this month to work out the details of the arrangement.

And, there has been an agreement; NTT DoCoMo will offer the LTE enabled iPad 3 sometime during the summer in Japan and the iPhone 5, with 4G connectivity as well, at the fall of 2012.

We do not have an official word, and nothing as yet as to when the stateside sales will begin.

But history tells us we will have to wait until the moment of the launch for some sort of confirmation unless NTT DoCoMo spells their plan out in an official statement. As for the moment, let’s wait.
