More Details On Sony’s Smash Bros Style Fighter Unveiled, Includes Details On Characters Transforming

November 28, 2011, By Christian Davis

It’s been about four weeks since the initial rumor of Sony’s Smash Bros. style fighter was brought to the eyes of the public. The rumor is now essentially confirmed thanks to some images that were revealed this past weekend. Specifically, an of image Sweet Tooth (revealed on an employees now deactivated Twitter account) from Twisted Metal was revealed along with some very interesting details on his character which leads to other gameplay hints and specifications.

Recently, the Paul Gale Network had a question and answer post that divulged a lot of information on the fighting game, which is now tentatively called “Title Fight.” The Q&A is brief but lets you know about some of the game’s controls (which include use of an arcade fight stick), the developer (SuperBot Entertainment) weight classes and possible character reveals (Fat Princess, Parappa, and Colonel Mael Radec), and several more details. You can find all of it here. It turns out in the Q&A, Sweet Tooth was brought up for a reason.

In the latest update on the Paul Gale Network, he brings up that the image of Sweet Tooth (shown below) is of his “human form.” When his level bar has reached 3, he will be able to transform into an Ice Cream Truck Mech. This is similar to the Smash Balls in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The difference between these though is that you’ll have a level bar, indicating that you’ll have to earn your super move, as opposed to being the last one to hit a flying ball.

This opens up a lot of options for the game and we’ll hopefully see some really inventive and creative uses for the super moves. With Nintendo’s fighter, several cinematic themed moves were included with several characters such as Captain Falcon and Solid Snake. With such a large roster of characters available for Sony, the possibilities are endless.

The rumor is getting everyone excited for the upcoming reveal of the game, especially EatSleepPlay’s David Jaffe.Via Twitter Jaffe had this to say about the brawler:

“4 folks asking if I know anything about this rumored Sony brawler:news to me but if it is real, count me super jazzed! Been wanting a game like that for a while! I can tell you I know some of the folks over at Superbot and whatever they R making- I genuinely don’t have a clue- I am sure will be very cool cause they got some great talents over there!”
